Dear Seeker,

"Into each of our lives comes some fight that must be made; however, the key to true self-victory is not that we win at all costs, but rather that we remain true, kind, and innocent in spite of the costs."

Special exercise: Remember what you love

This is a very simple exercise -- well, simple in concept but not always so easy to do! The exercise is this: in all moments that you can remember to do so, ask yourself, what are my thoughts and actions supporting right now? Are they supporting the qualities I want in my life, such as compassion, openness, patience, and generosity -- or are they supporting what I don't want in my life, such as bitterness, rage, jealousy, and arrogance? Sometimes this simple remembrance is all it takes to get you back on track in any given moment. When you feel negativity or dark feelings well up inside of you, think of their pain and pressure as a mini wakeup call which is inviting you to pause before you act. In the same breath you can now ask yourself, what do I love? And if you are true in your wish to have a brighter, more peaceful life, you will be given the patience and courage you need to Be that which you love.
