Dear Seeker,
"The purpose of any true interior practice is not to help us 'do' or achieve something in the world that will make our future a brighter one, but to help us see something now about our present level of being."

Special exercise: Take a conscious breath
Here's an exercise that can really help you to wake up and "snap out of it" for just a moment, particularly when you're feeling stressed. Right in the middle of whatever you're doing -- talking, working, rushing, planning -- just pause and take a breath. Fully inhale... and fully exhale. One slow, deep, conscious breath. You can do it right now just to see what happens. Feel yourself come back into your body, back into the room. The aim is to sense an awareness -- of what's going on inside of you and around you -- that you didn't have the moment before. This quick reconnection literally bridges you to another world where you can better understand and handle whatever is happening to you within the physical and emotional worlds. You now have the chance to slow down and remember what's important, which opens the door of possibility for a new and bright outcome.
