Dear Seeker,

"By working to momentarily anchor ourselves in the present moment, we bring our own thoughts and feelings into the Light of consciousness to see them for what they are."

Special exercise: Be here now

As you read this exercise, take a moment to slow down, sit back, and breathe deeply. Become aware of any tension in your body and recognize that it's probably there because your mind was busy chewing on something... mulling over a problem, stressing about having too much to do, planning for an upcoming encounter or event. Any tension, pressure, or pain you feel in any moment is a signal that you've unconsciously gone from directing your thoughts to being directed by them. The more you work to stay in the now -- the only place where anything actually gets done -- the less you'll be tricked into leaving it.
